Singapore Telecommunications announced that it is investing S$220m in its 2G and 3G mobile network expansion and enhancement programme and has awarded the contract to Ericsson Telecommunications. Ericsson will deliver to SingTel a complete, future-proof IP-based radio and core mobile network. The company reported further that the network enhancements are to be completed by March 2009.
